I have been looming Kypris for a few months and unfortunately it was not sold in Europe. Ordering form the US can be a pain as the shipping costs are high and invariably the products get stopped at customs, I have to pay VAT + other S+@£$T taxes.
Now Selfridges UK is selling the range. I am not a Selfridges fan as they are mainly money driven (if your cosmetic boot does not make enough money in a year they get rid of you!), but if it is the only place where I can buy this product … fair enough. The problem with Selfridges is that the shipping costs are outrageous at 18 euros (the average in the EU is 5 to 7 euros!). I took advantage of a free shipping over the Christmas period and I ordered the product. I paid it €77,00 for 50ml.
This is a first impression review. I have used the serum for about three weeks.
The product is sold also in Finland, Switzerand and Germany. However, the retail price is higher (90 euros vs 77 euros of Selfridges) and, unless you live in those countries, the delivery costs make the order even more expensive! In the US there are no problems in finding this range as you can get it from the Detox Market and Amazon (see below).
PERFORMANCE: you have to give this serum some time. It is not the type of product that you put on and boom! makes miracles in 24 hours. It follows the skin cell renewal cycle (28 days). I carried out a patch test (put a drop at the back of the ear for 2 nights) and when I saw that there were no adverse effects I applied on my entire face an neck.
It does not tingle and most of all it does not make my skin peel (unlike the traditional retinol that made my skin super red and made me peel like crazy!!). The effect of a more glowing skin can be seen after a few weeks. It is a smooth operator!
I like Kypris offers essential oil free options and that it does not promote a wrinkle / anti aging philosophy (on the contrary they are very clear about the fact that wrinkles are part of life, that their products help with elasticity, but there is not miracle worker when it comes to lotions and potions!).
This product can be used only at night. As it reveals “new” skin due to exfoliating effect you have to use an SPF 30 during the day (also in winter). I read on Kypris Instagram account that they are developing a product with SPF. Looking forward to seeing what it is all about!!
Overall I am very happy with the Kypris Moonlight Catalyst (so far HG status). I will post an updated review in a few months.
INGREDIENTS: INGREDIENTS: Water/Aqua, Glycerin, Lactobacillus/Pumpkin Fruit Ferment Filtrate, Xylitylglucoside, Sclerotium Gum, Algae, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, sh-Oligopeptide-1, Prunus Persica (Peach) Fruit Extract, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Flower Extract, Vigna Aconitifolia Seed Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Extract, Prunus Domestica (Plum) Fruit Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Flower Water Extract, Hydrolyzed Fucus Vesiculosus Protein, Sodium Chloride, Trehalose, Sodium Levulinate, Maltodextrin, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sodium Anisate, Sodium Citrate
SCENT: very mild and not annoying. It smells of neroli and it reminds me of my grandma (which is a good thing!!)
HOW TO USE IT: a little goes a long wy. you can use it by itself (apply two drops on the face and one drop on the neck). Lightly massage or pat the product into the skin. Go to sleep!
Another way is to create an emulsion. You mix this water based serum with a Kypri Elixir (oil based): oil and water don’t mix. The water based serum will be absorbed by the skin whilst the oil based elixir will add glow. I have not tried the Kypris elixirs as tey are very pricey and I cannot get a sample (they all contain coconut oil and my skin tends to misbehave when this ingredient is involved). I used the Moonlight Catalyst with the Dr Alkaitis Nourishing Treatment Oil and I really like the glow that it adds to the skin.
The serum has a gel like consistency and it is ver easy to apply. Don’t use too much! 2 to 3 drops are enough!
The serum is water based and has a lovely gel like texture and feels really fresh when spreaded on the skin.
The serum massaged into the skin. It is not greasy and does not leave any residue.
CONTENT AND PACKAGING:
50ml (not the usual stingy 30ml!). The serum is contained in a lovely blue bottle with a pipette. It is easy to get the right amount of product without wasting any. I can see how much product is left and use it up to the last drop.
The bottle comes in a sturdy carton box with gold text. Very classy. The product lasts 6 months after opening it. If used every night in the right quantities the bottle will definitely last that amount of time.
I wish it was available on other EU websites where I can get samples and order with much more reasonable delivery/shipping costs.

I purchased the product with my money. It was NOT sent by PR and I did not receive any money to post this review.
