As I am very pale I am not a fan of contour and bronzers: they tend to look fake and orange on me. However, I tried a sample of the RMS Beauty Contour Bronze as some subscribers/viewers asked me to review it.

PERFORMANCE: don’t be scared by the colour!! It looks dark brown but it is very blendable and the formula allows to apply it in layers. Depending on your skin tone you may want to start with a little touch or with a punch. The secret is to avoid what Rose Marie Swift calls the chocolate bar: that awful rectangle / stripe of unblended brown on the cheeks. That’s not what you want.

The RMS Beauty Contour Bronze has some shimmer (not chunky glitter) that helps giving dimension to the product and avoids the matte effect. Overall it does the job but it is basically the exact same product as the Buriti Bronzer and as the Seduce Eye Polish. What changes is the shade. If you have one of these products you can easily achieve the same effect as the Contour Bronze.

The products blends very well in summer, it becomes rock solid in winter. It has an OK staying power (not all day on my dry skin). My issue is the high amount of coconut oil that tends to break me out.

Overall it does the job and it is easy to use and apply.

HOW TO USE IT: it can be used to contour the cheeks, the jaw, the nose and the temples. I like to use it with fingers and I apply it in layers (see the video below). I blend it very well and then use the RM Blush Brush to make sure there are no hard edges.

It is possible to apply the product also as an eye shadow (careful as it creases and you have to set it with powder).

You can see below that seduce (eye polish) is very similar, just a tad lighter.

5,67 grams contained in the usual RMS glass little pot with a metallic lid. The product is very pigmented and a little goes a long way.

I purchased the sample product with my money. It was NOT sent by PR and I did not receive any money to post this review.
