I have been lurking around the De Mamiel brand for a while and I decided to purchase the cleansing balm as it is cold in Milan, my skin is dry and the De Mamiel Restorative  Cleaning Balm does not contain coconut oil – which is an ingredient that breaks me out like crazy (it contains Polysorbate 20, which is coconut oil derived, but in my case it does not create any issues having used other products with this ingredient with no problems). I wish I did it before!!!

PERFORMANCE: this is HG material and by far the best cleansing balm that I have ever tried. It is amazing!! It is perfect for dry and more mature skins and it would work also for normal and combination skin in winter. De Mamiel states that this works also for oily skin but it may be too rich for this skin type.

It takes off all my make up and keeps my skin super comfortable and luminous. I love the texture as it does not solidify – unlike 99% of the other balms on the market. A pea size is more than enough to clean face and neck. By far the best and most pampering cleanser I have ever tried. This is HG material and I am sooooo going to buy the 100ml version!!

SCENT: very uplifting and not offensive. Annee De Mamiel is a very experienced and qualified acupuncturist and she worked at the aromatherapeutic aspect of the balm.

HOW TO USE IT: it can be used in several ways as this is a multi tanker. The most common way is to use it as a cleanser. De Mamiel suggests to use it in the morning and at night. I use it only at night as in the morning I need a quick outing and it would be a waste as I dont have to take off any make up.

In the evening you can use it to clean your face. You can do a double cleanse (I am not a fan of this fad) or go “just” for the lymphatic massage that is outlined in the booklet that you find with the balm. It is a true pampering session and I am looking forward to cleaning my face with this balm every evening now!! The skin is glowing and the scent is heavenly.

You can use it also as a moisturising mask by leaving it on the face for 15/20 minutes. I like to do the cleaning + massage and add a tad more balm at the end and leave it on as a face mask. Super smooth and luminous skin!!

SWATCH:

You need to take a pea size amount out of the vase. It has a malleable consistency.

Then you warm it into the fingers and it literally melts (it is not greasy) into the skin
