I was keen to try the Schmidt’s Rose & Vanilla deodorant as I really like the rose scent and this is rose based. This is the new entry in the Schmidt’s family.

PERFORMANCE: unfortunately this deodorant did not work for me. The scent is very very annoying!

I appreciate the spatula included in the vase, as the texture of this deodorant is really thick. The problem is that the spatula broke after a few weeks as the texture of the deo is rock solid.

It does not work either: I start smelling in an unpleasant way just a few hours after having applied it. It is the only deodorant that really disappointed me: Soapwalla and The Natural Deodorant Company work in an amazing way, but Schmidt’s doesn’t.

INGREDIENTS: Maranta arundinacea (arrowroot) powder, Cocos Nucifera (coconut) Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (candelilla) Wax, Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (fractionated coconut oil), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Essential oils or natural fragrance (none in Fragrance-Free), Tocopherol (vitamin E)

SCENT: the rose and vanilla scent is very very strong. I found it annoying (considering that I like the smell of roses!)

HOW TO USE IT: apply a pea size “blob” of deodorant under each armpit and massage it into the skin. Re-apply during the day if required. The problem is that the texture of this deodorant is really hard and not very pliable.

SWATCH:

the texture is too hard and requires some work to melt the product into the skin.
