Over the past few months I got a bad case of coughing and I got to the point where sleeping was not easy. I have now been diagnosed with acalasia (which can be resolved!), but in the meantime I was looking for something to relax and ease my sleep.

I looked into H. Gillerman (it is very hard to find it in the EU) and into Lotus Wei. Then I decided to go for this Sweet Dreams by Tisserand as I am just staring out with aromatherapy.

PERFORMANCE: do not expect miracles. If you suffer with insomnia it takes more than just a roll on. In my case, I use it when I have restless nights because of my coughing. It helps relaxing a little bit and the  scent is very soothing.

However, after purchasing this roller ball, I bought a book by Hope Gillermann Essential Oils Every Day: Rituals and Remedies for Healing, Happiness, and Beauty and got more info about essential oils and aromatherapy.

Unfortunately, this Sweet Dreams by Tisserand does not seem to be made with organic essential oils (there is no mention anywhere of organic oils being used and it is not certified organic) so it appears that the EO used are of unknown nature/source. This is not great (and also explains the low price point).

INGREDIENTS: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia
(Lavender) Oil, Copaifera Officinalis (Copaiba Balsam) Oil, Cedrus Deodara (Cedar)
Wood Oil, Tocopherol, Cupressus Sempervirens (Cypress) Leaf Oil, Fusanus Spicatus
(Sandal) Wood Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Peel Oil, Jasminum Officinale
(Jasmine) Flower Oil, Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang) Flower Oil

SCENT: the lavender is very prominent and very soothing.

HOW TO USE IT: apply Tisserand Sweet Dreams Aromatherapy Roller Ball to the forehead and temples, on the back of the neck or onto the wrists and massage in gently.

For external use only. Avoid the eye area.

10ml roller. It is contained in an amber glass “stick” with a roller ball.

I bought this at Naturisimo as H. Gillerman is not readily available in the EU and I wanted to start experimenting with aromatherapy.

I suggest going for the Hope Gillerman Natural Rest Sleep Remedy Oil or for the Lotus Wei Inner Peace Mist (better formulations and in spray format, which is great to carry around and to spritz when required) as they are made with organic essential oils.

I purchased the product with my money. It was NOT sent by PR and I did not receive any money to post this review.
