This is the last product by De Mamiel that I bought thanks to a discount that I had and thanks to the fact that it is one of the few SPF in the organic world that does not look like I am slathering plaster on my face.

PERFORMANCE: one of the most difficult products to get right in the green beauty world is the sunscreen. So I was delighted when De Mamiel launched their EXHALE DAILY HYDRATING NECTAR SPF30. It is a lovely light textured cream that looks brown, but does not leave pigment on the face/neck. It is lighter than a tinted moisturiser and does not even out the skin tone as it does not have enough pigment.

I use a couple of pumps every day as the last step of my skincare routine. It is also a base for my makeup. However, whilst for “city use” it is OK, I noticed that – very likely due to the salicylic acid contained in the formula – it tends to enhance areas where the product looks unnatural and the pigment has “aggregated”. Nothing too obvious, but for the price I would have expected perfection.

As this product is part of the aromatherapeutic system it is very heavily scented. I can bear it by itself, but when applied after the other De Mamiel products it becomes really over powering.

It is an OK product, way overpriced as for my dry skin it does not moisturise enough and I don’t like the strong scent + the fact that the brownish pigment tends to collect in the pores. I will not repurchase this product in the future.

SCENT: very prominent and lingering and very floral. If you are very sensitive to scents this could be very annoying.

HOW TO USE IT: Apply 1-2 pumps each morning over cleansed skin, smoothing all over your face, neck and décolleté. As this is supposed to be aromatherapeutic it is suggested to breath the scent after the application of the product.

SWATCH:

the product comes out of the bottle with a slight browny tinge. However, it is not a tinted moisturiser and once blended into the skin the tint is imperceptible.

Blended into the skin (natural light, no flash)

CONTENT AND PACKAGING:

50ml. The DE MAMIEL EXHALE DAILY HYDRATING NECTAR SPF30 is contained in a dark glass bottle with a pump. The pump erogates the right amount of product with no waste (up to when it works as after a couple of months the pump stoped working properly and I have to press it 10 times to get a decent amount of product). The bottle is contained in a beautiful carton box.

WHERE TO BUY:

Content Beauty

At the moment the product is not available in the US due to issues relating to the formulation approval as it contains SPF (it is safe to use, in the EU approvals are more rigorous than the US when it comes to cosmetics). Apparently it will be launched in the US with a different packaging. Not sure when.

I purchased the product with my money. It was NOT sent by PR and I did not receive any money to post this review.
