I was curious to try the lipsticks by Kosas Cosmetics as I have read it makes universally flattering colours. I am quite skeptical about those claims as IMO you have to consider your skin tone and undertones in order to choose the best colour for you. Also the pigmentation of your lips makes a difference in how the colour will actually look like. I decided to go for Rosewater as it is the sheerer lipstick of the lot.
PERFORMANCE: I love the texture as it goes on the lips effortlessly and it has a unique gel like formula. The intensity of the colour can be built up from very sheer to more intense (it does not have full coverage though. You have to choose other colours like undone to get full coverage).
The lipstick is very moisturising and `i don’t need to apply a lip balm underneath. It also has a good staying power: a couple of hours without eating and drinking. The only drawback from my point of view is the mauve/cool tone that is not my favourite. However, it is a great everyday colour and very reasonably priced. Lovely packaging in a bullet (no vase!!).
INGREDIENTS: Green Tea, Rosehip, and Grape Seed Oils: Powerful antioxidants that heal cells and fight free radicals to reverse environmental damage. Mango and Shea butters: Heal, moisturize and protect lips, while preventing formation of fine lines. Sweet Orange Oil: A collagen-booster with a luxurious, uplifting scent.
- Free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates
SCENT: it smells lightly of vanilline.
HOW TO USE IT: it can be used as a stain, as a light wash of colour or you can apply several layers for a more intense pink/mauve effect.
CONTENT AND PACKAGING:
4 grams. It is contained in a very swanky black packaging and it has a white carton box.
