I have started testing the Josh Rosebrook range – skincare and haircare – and it is on a league of its own. The quality is amazing and the products are really effective. I got the travel version of the cleanser as I did not now what to expect.  I am very pleased with this product.

PERFORMANCE: it is a very effective cleanser, especially if you use it as directed.  It works also to take off eye make up and a little goes a long way. When I say the small size (30ml) and the price tag (33 euros)  I got really pensive. Then I read that a pea size of product is enough to do the job. And I decided to go ahead and purchase it: I am pleased to report that a pea size works very well – I do not wear a lot of makeup and I do not buy into this double cleanse fad.

It leaves my dry skin very comfortable and it helps keeping it clear thanks to the exfoliating power. Even if it contains some saponified coconut oil I have not had any issues with break outs. The formula is great and it is one of the best cleansers that I have used. In winter I still prefer the De Mamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm, but when spring arrives and for summer this is perfect – it works also in winter but I prefer the sensation of the melting balm.

This cleanser is suitable also for oily skin (it does not strip the skin from its natural oils and has  detoxifying properties) and for combination skin.

SCENT: very mild and not annoying.

HOW TO USE IT: wet your face with some water and pour a pea size amount of product on the palm of your hands and apply it on your face. Massage (it emulsifies slightly) and leave it on your face and neck for about one minute – it has exfoliating properties. Rinse off and follow with the hydrating accelerator.

When used to take off eye makeup it does not sting or leave the eyes blurry.

SWATCH:

it has a gel like consistency.

CONTENT AND PACKAGING:

there are two versions, the travel size (30ml) and the full size (60ml).They are both contained in plastic bottles. The travel size has a flat cap – easy to carry around, but it creates a build up of product and the plastic bottle gets all “wrinkly” with use. The full size has a pump – which I prefer.
