Just few years ago finding an effective aluminium fee deodorant was nearly impossible. Forward few years and there are plenty of options that do work. It is often a matter of trial and error. And sometimes it is also a matter of positioning the product as a high end, like Aurelia did. I got this deodorant in a sample set that was sent to me by Content Beauty when I bought Imelda Burke fab book on green beauty.

PERFORMANCE: it works in winter and in summer. I tried it whilst exercising, travelling, in normal day to day situations and no bad odor in sight. The texture is great as it is sort of gel/cream like. A little goes a long way and it spreads very easily on the armpits.

I use it every morning and it keeps me odor free all day. Also in summer – in Milan it gets very hot and this works well as a deodorant. When it comes to keeping wet patches at bay I prefer The Natural deodorant Company deodorant.

What’s the problem with this deodorant is the price tag: it costs more than double the average price of natural deodorants on the market. If you want to splurge it is a very effective options, but if you want an effective deodorant that does the job at a reasonable amount of money (just over 10 euros) I would go for Soapwalla or The Natural Deodorant Company – that also contain 10 grams more!

INGREDIENTS: zea mays (corn) starch, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, coco-caprylate (derived from coconuts), sodium bicarbonate, maranta arundinacea (arrowroot) extract, kaolin, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, tocopherol (vitamin e), melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil expressed, citrus bergamia peel (bergamot) oil expressed, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, glycerin (plant derived), rosa canina fruit oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, linalool*, limonene*, geraniol*, farnesol* (*naturally occurring in essential oil)

SCENT: very herbal and strong. Once applied it dissipates.

HOW TO USE IT: take half a pea size of product and rub it under the armpits in the morning. Do not use it after having shaved your armpits as it contains baking soda and it may irritate the skin and sting.

50ml. It is contained in an amber glass vase. It has a fancy box that adds to the price and it is not environmentally friendly.
