I have dry lips and I m always looking for the perfect lip balm. I did find it: RMS Lip & Skin Balm, but it went rancid so it was back to the drawing board. I saw an interview with makeup artist Katey Dunno and she was saying lots of positive things about the Henne’ Organics Lip Balm. Also several of my readers/viewers said that they love this product. So … I bought it!
PERFORMANCE: it is very moisturising and leaves the lips very soft and comfortable also in winter. It can be used by itself or underneath a lipstick. I like it is not shiny or too sticky. It goes on effortlessly and a little goes a long way. However, it is not as great as the RMS. Something is missing. The formula is quire basic in all honesty. There isn’t a single “wow” ingredient and it is very pricey for what it is. Neverthless, it does a good job (not great IMO) and it is worth considering if you have dry lips.
Henne’ Organics has just launched the lip tints and I am looking forward to try the berry red called Intrigue.
INGREDIENTS: ORGANIC COCOS NUCIFERA (COCONUT) OIL, ORGANIC CERA ALBA (BEESWAX), ORGANIC PERSEA AMERICANA (AVOCADO) OIL, ORGANIC BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA BUTTER) FRUIT, ORGANIC THEOBROMA CACAO (COCOA) SEED BUTTER, ORGANIC SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL, TOCOPHEROL (VITAMIN E).
SCENT: it smells of coconut and it is very prominent.
HOW TO USE IT: scoop a little bit of product from the vase with your finger and pat it or massage it into the lips. It can be used by itself day and night to underneath the lipstick.
CONTENT AND PACKAGING:
10ml. It is contained in a black vase with a lid. There is also the bullet version but it contains less product (5ml) and – if you do the math compared to the vase it costs more!
WHERE TO BUY:
I purchased the product with my money. It was NOT sent by PR and I did not receive any money to post this review.
